Getting some installed in my Tamora at the moment but I'm in Doha until next week - it should be ready when I get back so I'll post some pics up then if they are of any use?
remembered i posted a few pics in the interior thread - its the tan and black Tam - if you zoom in you can see the carbon leather on the door bottoms and handbrake area. Its hard to pick up on photos's on an iphone but hope it helps with your decision?http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
While checking out a local trimmer today I stumbled across PeteAs car above. Have to say it looks really good in the flesh and I might steal a couple of ideas for my re-trim!....
The carbon leather is quite subtle in appearance and apparently quite thick/tough to work with, so small areas as accents seem to be best. Which is what I was thinking as well. Looks good though.....

i just ordered a couple of hides of carbon leather....so I've just got to work out where to use it
Im thinking seat base and back centre panels.
the "mid" panel of the door
panel insert where the gearstick and handbrake are...
a bit lost for ideas around the dash as it is a thick leather...maybe the top of the dash pod but I'm not sure yet.im sure the trimmer will come up with some ideas.

Pics ASAP please chaps!!! Im off to trimmer tomorrow. Though starting with seats
I think I'm going to stay black leather and carbon leather only as the carbon sample I have looks dark grey in sunlight, so it'll give enough contrast
I did wonder about using a light grey as well, but I think it'll be too much although currently the screen surround etc is grey, but I may change that as I do find the grey gets grubby so easily ( main reason for getting rid on the seats)
That means the centre tunnel will be mostly black leather as will be the dash,

Hi,
Here we go
I am going to change the Gearstick and Handbrake Gaiter to Alcantara
Carbon Leather is an accent (from factory), as it's not feasible for large areas, although when I had the seats done in Alcantara I also ensured the Carbon Leather was also utilised. There are other elements on my seats in Carbon, but i'll leave that to your imagination :P

Finished this week he said! Looked really good even part done, some nice touches and they seem really focused on doing a good job. Been lurking around here for a while, but hadn't connected this thread with the trimmer.... Was a handy coincidence to go in and enquire about trimming a Tamora with 1 sat in the shop!I'm going to pop back in a couple of weeks with my car to discuss options. I know there's well known alternative trimmers in the TVR world but I like to keep it local if possible....
Only downside is they're right next to Stadium of Light and I'm a Geordie!
Good stuff - looking forward to seeing it finished and just generally getting my car back!
The guys at GGK are good and know there stuff. I visited numerous times before deciding to go with them...and yes, I know where you're coming from re the stadium of s
te as I'm a Geordie too!
Hope you get sorted with your car.
