Temperature sender thingy

Mine doesn't either - been maening to fix it but I need a wiring diagram to find everything.
few things:
1) does it move up when you power up? the other gauges will
2) if you unplug the wiring block to the temp sensor, measure resistance cold and hot, resistance should decrease when hot - if it doesn't then the sensor needs changing (as above)
3) no to 1 & 2: it's probably a bad earth (like mine)

1) Rises slightly when ignition is turned on, doesn't do anything else.few things:
