Greets,

Just got through the mounting of the remote display for my Valentine 1 in the Db9.. I chose this position instead of the center console cigarette lighter location, as I find it distracting to look down to the console when the unit beeps or the lights flash.

The line of sight with the gauge cluster also works better in my opinion when the audio beep is off, as the lights flashing with arrows can be part of the gauge scan for general warnings as well as my eyes can continue to scan the road for big brother's location based on the arrows..

I have similar locations for this display for all the cars in my stable. So far it has saved me from numerous tickets, and paid for itself many times over.

Pic snapped with a smart phone, so it is not the clearest..

Best regards

yeti

We're not allowed such things in the UK unfortunately - I wish we were!

I love how your display reads "MILF".

I feel your pain Yeti..! Every time I am in the UK, and get to Sixt, and take a car, I wonder how many speed cameras will zap me! In Germany, they kindly send me the bill in the mail to the USA.. biggrin At least it does not go on my driving record in the USA.. wink

I'm surprised the RAC and all other clubs don't lobby parliament for the allowance of such counter measures.... Then again, with so many video cameras on every lamp post in the UK, maybe people are used ot it....

Brakke,

That is the special edition gauge cluster from AM. It was a one off, that has a special sensor and display to relay the appearance of and or close proximity of such bounty..... When they are inside the vehicle, it just reads "F" biggrin

So? They're illegal in many states here in the USA, but people still use them.

The British have an ingrained respect for the law. If it's illegal we don't do it. We even pay our taxes even if we disagree with them.
Anyone for tea? wink

This is highly inaccurate. Radar detectors are only illegal in the USA in Virginia and the District of Columbia. They are fully legal everywhere else.

redcard If the British have such an ingrained respect for the law, why do I often see posts on this forum from folks who have had their Astons keyed, scratched, vandalized or even walked and danced on? eek

Apparently we're all villains now. Focused on drinking tea with 'a certain style.' Perhaps in the open door of a low flying helicopter

...thank God, we still have a stiff upper lip.

I'm old. They USED to be illegal in many states. I guess I don't keep up with the times.
