Classifieds - can't post advert

I've just gone through trying to post an advert in Motorsport -> Apparel.

Selected the category, added the photos, hit submit and it dumps me back to the beginning complaining that it can't find the reg number (none entered) and offers me the list of manufacturers in the drop down. Which isn't where I want it to go.

Any chance of some help or you fixing it please?

It's now in a state where it says it's live in the ad management screen, but it doesn't actually appear in the listings.

Fix, please?

Having exactly the same problem here, apparently the advert went live five days ago but still isn't coming up on the listings.

I know it's been a few days, but it looks like you're top of the pops in apparel.

I've resubmitted your ad and all seems to be fixed.

Same problem here. Ad says live since last week, but still not on site. No reply from emails sent to Pistonheads.
Posted on here too and no help.

I've got more adverts to post - what was wrong before, and how do I avoid it now?

We're not fully certain what the cause is. The short explanation is the classifieds is run off three different databases and occasionally one of the databases doesn't commit the advert status change from not submitted to published when you hit the submit button.

It's a bug that we've been looking into, but it's difficult to replicate so we haven't yet found the cause.

Until we do, submit your ad as normal and let us know if it's not in the search results. The search index is updated every 90 seconds so you needn't wait long to see it.
