Dunlop Blue Response any good?

My MK6.5 Fiesta 1.6 needs four new tyres. The Dunlop Blue Response tyres appear to get decent reviews (although you get quite a few poor reviews as well on tyrereviews.co.uk).

Just wondering if anyone had experience with these tyres before I get four of them!

It depends what you're looking for in the tyre.

Despite the name it's not a sports tyre, it's a very comfortable, low rolling resistance tyre with good wet grip.

Not sure the wear is very clever though.

If you're looking for a sports tyre, this isn't it.

It has Continental Sport Contact tyres on at the moment (the ones it came with), which I've always been happy with.

Are the Continentals more "sporty" than the Dunlops? I would like to preserve the handling characteristics of the car...

Which sport contact, and what size?

There's so many variables it hurts, but I'd say in theory yes, you'll notice a downgrade in steering and dynamic abilities with the Dunlops.

I believe they are Sports Contact 3's in 195/45 R16. Currently have just over the legal limit of tread left, so definitely need to replace them (currently terrible in the wet!)

I'm afraid I have precisely zero experience with tyres in that size!
