RAF Merlin over London Bridge

Not often you see one of these over Central London. Pretty low as well!

Any ideas what it's doing here. Reminded me how much quieter than Chinooks three are!

I see pretty much every day Chinooks coming down the river towards my office. Can I ask where they are going to and coming from?

Back again, yesterday at approx 15:00 - I was on the 11th floor of an office building in Victoria and spotted the a Merlin seemed to be following the river then headed out and passed the Battersea Power Station.

It's a daily occurrence for military helicopters to follow the London heli lanes.

Have you done the Sea Survival training course yet? I hated the fire fighting but the damage control simulator was good fun (except in winter, when one of my team got hypothermia!)
