.. any predictions, wish lists, fears?

In terms of grass roots, belt and braces financial planning alone, please.. no more tinkering with pensions and let's have a Super ISA.

And THAT, having just dealt with an ankylosing spondylitis underwriting issue, is the highlight of my day so far!

Sort of the ridiculous stamp duty steps, for example, make it 4% only on the amount over 500k.

He'd get my vote next year.

Can those MPs not behave themselves while the man is speaking, instead of constantly making noises like a bunch of monkeys?!

Honestly. They're like little kids. They're meant to be our elected representatives!

WTF is going on with pensions? I'm a pensions actuary - this has caught us all by surprise.

Some of the reporting seems inconsistent at the moment about flexible drawdown and accessing DC - will get confirmation from my technical department shortly.

Legislation will be introduced in Finance Bill 2014 to extend by one year the cut-off date from which
classic vehicles are exempt from VED, and in a future Finance Bill to introduce a
rolling 40-year VED exemption for classic vehicles.

Tobacco up 2% above inflation..

Having not paid any duty on cig's for almost 2 years I feel they are just shooting themselves in the foot with these constant increases.

Do any regular smokers actually buy them in the shops anymore?

Have you seen some of the share price movements since about 1.30?

HL up quite a bit - fund management presumably getting a boost.
L&G down a lot (they are one of the bigger annuity providers - and who would buy an annuity now?)
Partnership through the floor - they specialise in annuities - a one-product business. Their management must be in a room now cacking themselves wondering how to react.
