PonoPlayer and which IEMs?

So, no chat about the PonoPlayer here?
I'm sure there will be a fair few dissenting voices, but I think the concept is a good one - an affordable high-end player and 24 bit content bringing good quality audio to those who have never heard it before. I've decided it's worth a punt and have added my $300 to the $4,215,382 currently pledged on Kickstarter.
Now, I'm a big fan of in-ear phones/monitors when used with custom molded plugs. I find them comfortable, effective at noise isolation and can make mid range in-ear phones sound much better than they do with the usual rubber/foam buds. I've been using Sennheiser IE6s like this for a while and they've been good enough for listening to mp3s, but what are people using with the high end portable players?
What are the latest and greatest in ear phones I should be considering below, say, £250?
