I like watching MasterChef, and The Professionals.
I've also watched a couple of series of MC:Australia, and their version of The Professionals.
I'm currently sat watching the finale of MC: South Africa, which has also been great - they've been cooking food I've never heard of, and their jaunt into Ethiopia has inspired me to try cooking some of their cuisine, which came out well.
I'm also slowly making my way through MasterChef Ireland, which is, frankly, awful, but I now need to see it through to the end.
Did try watching the NZ version once, but hated the judges. Trying to avoid giving it another go, just in case
It's obviously a greasy cooking programme, but it has also been a fantastic travel show - I've seen places on MC that I'd never heard of, and now need to go visit.
Anyone else with a similar affliction?
The foreign versions are also slightly 'sexier' than ours - much nicer kitchens to work in, and no wide-mouthed cockney stuffing his face.

I'm a fan of Masterchef Australia. Was so-so on Masterchef New Zealand, and do not like the UK Masterchef.
I think it part comes down to the judges. For Australia you have two top judges of renown and possibly the world's top food critic (who also is not that pretentious despite the cravat).
Until Michel Roux came on the scene the UK 'original' had an Aussie chef who's completely failed over here aside from on TV (how many times has Pride of Spittlefields been closed due to hygene issues now, and take a look at the reviews), and a green grocer who knows his veg but is inconsistent in his advise/judging (he will criticise one a thing one week, then praise the same the next) and who's only cookery books came out after he was criticised for not being a chef (and were rumoured to be shadow written).
I want to watch the Chinese one (translated), plus would love to know if one of the judges on the Israeli one is a little old grand mother ...

Mrs. Miniman is subjecting me to MasterChef Australia at the moment. It's ok, I guess, but they really do go heavy on the peril, suspense and enormous mountains to climb, don't they?
We loved your roulade, Julia. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The pureé was beyond reproach. The complexity of the stuffing lifted your dish to another level. Just one challenge now sits between you and the next round.
In your mystery boxes you'll find either a spoon, or some okra. Whichever you choose, you'll be using it to SLAY A VELOCIRAPTOR MWAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAAHHA
