Where do you go after a c63.

It's a super fine car IMHO, and thirst aside is a brilliant all rounder to the point that the thirst doesn't bother me too much

I've previously had an e92 m3 dct which was an excellent car and I'm half tempted to get one again but I fear the relative lack of torque may be annoying after the 63

I need four doors.......I need power...looks.....handling........xfr crossed my mind but it looks a bit stale IMO......rs4 is too dated now......and my max budget is £25k

I really don't know where to go from here!!

Previously owned Nissan GTR, 997, m5, m3, 740d, 535d, s3, cayenne v8, etc

Supercharged Range Rover. £25k will get you a tidy one.

Sounds to me like you have made yourself a good case to keep the C63

Maserati Quattroporte?

£25,000 buys you a decent 2007 model.

LOL, indeed, I often think that myself.

Main reason for changing is that the miles are creeping up and I like to sell a car before it becomes a 'high miler' as this effects resale quite badly

Could always invest some money in a bit of further tuning (Supercharge). Although that defeats the mileage you are concerned about....But it would keep all the positives of the C63 and still make it like a new car....Just a thought. (634BHP stage 1)

Quattroporte is a good shout. XFRs are OK but they have nothing like the sense of occasion a C63 gives you.

I'm in a similar position, and suggestions have ranged wildly on my post. I'm considering a ML63 or the Cayenne Diesel S. Unfortunately I doubt I'll ever get a chance to see a car of this ilk again, and every other vehicle will be a compromise, that said AMG have shown what they can do, and we hope that the same psychos who designed and built the C63 will not lose that mentality

Really? Strikes me as being much the same sort of thing and is almost equally loud and snarly. How do they actually drive in comparison?

If you're that anxious about replacing the C63 but like it so much, how about another M156-engined Merc? I wouldn't have thought that anything could really replace them without seeming a bit sterile in comparison. XFR and the old Quattroporte are lovely but a bit long in the tooth now. If it was me, I'd be after as new as possible an M156 E63 estate.

Alternatively, have you looked at anything Brabus are up to these days?

Going by the tests done by the mags the lexus drove like a dog if I remember correctly. Sounds good though.

That's how I read it also.

If you want something similar to a C63, you will not go far wrong with a newer C63. I will get more of a sports car next, so smaller and more nimble. Not necessarily slower, but completely different.

I'm about to make that leap the other way. I've had a Cayman S for the last few years and my C63 gets delivered on Thursday this week. I've almost run out of twiddle in my thumbs!!!
