My girlfriend got me a GoPro for my birthday at the weekend! Just wondering how people have mounted these in the cabin on track days? I'm bearing in mind most circuits won't allow suction mounts!

Has anyone used the GoPro roll bar mount?

One of these does the trick http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181287044908

You do need an extender, something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aluminum-Extension-Arm-M... because the way it fits on the Noble you have to mount it upside down. Then you can use the extender to mount the go-pro the right way up!

Hope that makes sense.

Flat sticky pad and the j-buckle on the rear window works for me.

Or a flat sticky on the windscreen, behind the rear view mirror.

Cheers guys! Is there a mount available where you don't need to buy the extender but still have it mounted up the correct way?

Why do you want it right side up? You can invert the video in the software?

But it switches the frame round so it looks like a left hand drive car? Lol

You could look at a gorilla pod or something similar but I don't know if it will fit between the roll bar and the roof.

Not sure i'm following what you mean? It looks identical on the video either way up as long as you have set the 'Up^' arrow correctly in the software?

My GoPro was mirror imaging from right to left when setting it to upside down via the iPhone app. Have updated the software which seems to have fixed it!! smile

Mitch unfortunately that clamp doesn't appear to go wide enough to fit round the roll bar, are there any other options?

Hey

The official Go-Pro mounts are fantastic
I have an official one which I mount on the spoiler and it takes 165mph on a track day without a problem.
Exterior mounts get great angles.

Worth checking to be absolutely sure, but I think some circuits are happy with the GoPro suction mounts. I've been in a few safetey briefings where thay have specifically said that the GoPro mounts are acceptable.
