Insurance and breakdown
Discussion
Just getting the Griff back on the road so sorting insurance etc out
Good quote from Manning but would not include breakdown cover on a car over 10 years old. RH were over 40% more but would offer breakdown and European too.
Given we are booked to go to classic le-mans I need European break down.
Any recommendations on insurance and break-down ?

I looked at Classicline a couple of years ago as I'd been with them for a while a few years ago - somehow they don't get it - the normal policy they offer doesn't allow you to keep the car on the drive if it is "garaged" so every time you come home even if going out shortly you have to put it away - none of the OK between 6am and 10pm stuff here. After querying that they offered Equity Red Star which does allow it to be on the drive during the day but the breakdown cover demands that you always carry a spare set of keys with you and also have a useable spare which for the TVR is not always practical - I did ask them about some of the exclusions but didn't even get a reply. In the end I went with Flux who also offered Equity Red Star but at a slightly cheaper price and strangely their breakdown was basically the same as Classicline except the spare keys was only if you were abroad (can understand that) and they checked re the tyre inflation kit and confirmed it was OK so a no brainer really. Maybe Classicline will be Ok for you but do look at the small print as each time I've tried them they don't seem to look after what I would call the sensible things that you would assume would be the norm.
