I've fitted a Sharkwerks Muffler Bypass to my GT3. No remap required and easy to sway back to stock if required. Sounds epic.

I have been tempted to fit one of those, did you ship it over from the US and did you have to pay an extra duty?

Great opportunity, you obviously had good baggage allowance biggrin

I changed the back box on my T350 and she used to scream beautifully and am looking at doing the same on the GT3. I like the idea that the sport button still works so on a long journey it doesn't get too loud. Emailed US a few weeks ago and got a very impressive response, within a few hours.

Get a Hayward & Scott bypass pipe, cheap as chips and makes the car sound phenomenal!

My 911 is up there now for a full Hayward&Scott system in S/S all done by next week.

They are not the cheapest, by far however good rep etc.

They were very busy yesterday, when I dropped off the car.

Hope they've changed their design , used to have to remove the exhaust to access lower valve covers when adjusting tappets.

Iam taking most people don't go down the full system route then because of the cost of the systems in comparison with the bypass options I take it then from what's been said you get more noise but probably not a lot more as in more torque / bhp and less weight would this be correct

The only reason I am changing the rear pipe is for a better sound track. There is already plenty of power for me, a lot of which I am just get used to. It must harp back to the days when I fitted a cherrybomb to my 105 E Anglia, now that sounded loud with no grunt whatsoever ever.

The standard exhaust a little tame and to me the noise of a burbling V8 or scream of a straight six is so much part of the fun.

By pass pipes tend not to make power, and if they do the manufactures tend to quote 2-3 hp. Side muffler delete systems make about 10 hp and a lot more noise. Even the Akrapovic full race system only quotes a 12 hp increase for £10000.
The choke point on the Standard system seems to be the headers and cats, by changing these to long equale length tube headers and 100-200 cell cats power increase have been quoted in the 17-30hp combined with an upgraded system. To do this your looking at a minimum of £6000 new. Look on Renlist for more details the US boys seem to have developed more in this area as noise on tracks isn't an issue over there. Manufactures to look at are Supersprint, Sharkwerk, Fabspeed, Cargraphic, Kline Inovations,

There is a wide choice for people, I wanted a full S/S system fit and go like people have said before it a cost factor.

Its not cheap by any means, however its something that needs to be done for my cars upkeep.
You drive you pay at the end of the day.

As my cars a keeper had it since 07 now and my one has been on my car since new.

It's also to do with the DB's on track.
