996 GT3 MK2 CS

Hi guys,
In case any of you have not seen it there is a nice GT3 CS for sale in the classifieds. Prices look to be rising almost weekly. From the pictures it does appear that once upon a time it had ceramic brakes. Anyone know the car, can't be very many 2 owner cars about?

some will say its strong money given that others with similar miles etc have sold for less/theres a non CS silver on Autotrader with 18k miles on for similar money...

But theres only 4/5 cars it seems up for sale and even BHP's non AC car has now sold after a while of being up, so i guess supply isnt filling the demand as such so prices are going up.

If you like it, get it bought then worry about the financial side of it all after

It was parked up in the paddock at Oulton Park at the RS day. Looked really nice.

Just waiting for some details on the history. it's been serviced once by Porsche and then Tech 9 and then the last 5 by Phoenix Motorsport. It's appears to be top money for a car without Full Porsche history but I may well drive up tomorrow and view it.

Alot of cars wont have Full Porsche History anymore. Some say its better to have a specialists stamp in the book instead of Porsche

As it is a private sale I would get a check over by a good indy for piece of mind.

I would actively seek a car that had been seen to by a specialist rather than an OPC once it gets out of warranty.

This car is top money? Surely the mk1 CS that sold at £59k takes that award.

I did not realise that one had sold for 59k! Wow it must have been very very low mileage I guess. Just doing the 'man maths' and make it sound like a good investment to myself :-)

It is not millage but quality. 10,000 hard miles on a track poorly maintained and the odd barrier rash. Does not beat a 100,000 mile well look after beauty. All depends what you want the car for.

Agreed. I didn't study it for long but the quality of the paint work was immediately apparent.

Isn't this the one that was on here about 3 months ago at considerably less? Certainly looks like a nice car but I'm not sure its a private sale? Looks to be the same car and the history would suggest so as it was in Blackburn, Lancs for sale and I'm pretty sure Phoenix are up the rod in Accrington.

The owner was chatting to me about this one about a month ago and as I understand not a privately owned car as he had a couple of GT3's for sale including my old written off example which was a bit of a surprise

Not seen it in the flesh as I ultimately went in a different direction but looks a nice car. First service Porsche, then tech 9 Motorsport for 3 years then Phoenix Motorsport following that.

Yes this car was for sale in January at £34k. I agreed with the then seller to purchase it and he then informed me he'd decided to keep it but looks like some must have offered a bit over the asking price.

Sounded like a lovely car but there was a question mark over whether it had a rear quarter due to a nasty parking accident. It was fixed by Porsche but owner didn't know if they'd repaired or replaced the panel.

Didn't bother me at £34k as if it's good enough for Porsche it's good enough for me. At the money it's now up for I would definately want that checked.

Apart from the manor in which the guy sold it to someone else, having booked a train ticket etc to collect it, it sounded like it had been owned by a honest guy and had seen very light track use.

Worth a look for sure,
