What to do? Stay in Finance or move to full Project Mgt?

Hi,
I work for a large bank and I am a business manager here, qualified CIMA.
But have been approached by a person on a huge project. He is ex-Big4 and they want accountants to take on full Project type roles (End to end stuff). Now I am unsure what to do really.
My current role is goin nowhere I feel and I do feel a tad rudderless at the moment. Projects have appealed to me as they tend to be a bit more different than simply churning out the same reporting spiel or looking after one area.
Anyone here moved from finance to PM? I am thinking of contracting maybe in the future. And think my finance exp combined with pure PM exp could hold me in good stead?

If you feel you are good at co ordinating a number of different stakeholders and deliverables and working back from an end date then it would probably suit you as tends to be more variety and you will probably learn a lot more from a skillset / experience perspective. If you stay looking at finance projects your subject matter expertise will be very useful. Given you aren't satisfied in you current role I would say do it. You can always go back to running mthly reports if you don't like it.
