I Like brightly coloured cars. The black/white/grey/silver seems dreary to me.

211 citrines were built and 1 each of these was sent to each ford dealership, there were 10 tuned by Hendy and known as RSi's

Now there's a colour from the past!

My Dad had a large number of Mondeo's as company cars.

Quite a lot were Mk1 in brown! I always preferred the Mk2 silver saloon that he had.

Were these a special edition or was Citrine on the options list? I can remember seeing at least one at the time.

Citrine was a special edition I think

There was also an RSi which was based on the same car but had RS 7 spoke wheels and a chip (remember when you had to physically chip an ECU). This wasn't an official car but knocked out by a dealer.

I recall seeing a saloon one of these (back in the day) complete with Morette headlamp conversion and Escort Cosworth wheels - It looked great.

A friend also had a 24V Ghia X saloon in dark metalic red with the full RS 'Dress Up' kit fitted, with the 16" Soft-spoke wheels.... Again a great looking car in saloon format.

Is the yellow a special (technical) spec too? Were they all 4x4 or turbo'd or anything?

Do you know what power the tuned one's made? I read somewhere it was about 10bhp up on the standard?
