As part of my strip down I thought I'd share this.

This is the view from the drivers door looking down where the seat belt reel used to live

Hello Tarmac lol

If you look underneath there's a gap between the outside face of the righthand fuel tank and the GRP well; my car has a GRP closure plate fitted to stop water spray getting up the gap and entering the car through that hole for the filler neck... should be easy enough to replicate.

Its for access to be able to replace the fuel filler hose which i must say could do with replacing on yours...Dont buy hose with the steel helix inside as it won't seal properly.

I guess a little plate could be fabricated to cover it....Ziga

Passenger side no hole just drivers side (I've 2 fillers)

Zig, I am deeply offended that you think my filler pipe is rusty. It's a special bespoke vinyl wrap just to look like rust lol wink
