Latest pic of my wifes car.

Original spec includes 2.0i Turbo, M Sport, black leather, 19's, xenons, front / rear parking sensors.

Shes had it from new and fancied updating its looks a bit, so its just back from getting the wheels powder coated satin black, black / black centre caps on wheels and matt black grills fitted.

Probably next steps are to do something with the side repeaters - cant get black ones so may "wrap" the ones thats there, and possibly black / black badges on bonnet, boot and sides.

It's a nice car apart from the black wheels!

I'd of probably had them done anth, just for some contrast.

I have the 35i of this in black also, I kept it mostly factory other than adding ultra light performance 313s to it as I blacked out a lot of the car and didn't like it, you lose the looks and it can start to look a bit cheap IMHO.

Still it's your car and it's about what makes you happy in the end!

This is mine.. Not that I'm saying it's better or worse but it's a look I prefer...

Looks so much better with those silver wheels or maybe a graphite grey darkest.

I vote anthracite or shadow chrome wheels, much more classy smile

How've you found the engine? Tempted to remap it? I think it'd respond well

Black wheels look awfull on that car, made that mistake myself once on an S2000 had the alloys done in dark anthracite but they looked horrible once on the car.

Funny how a set a rims can make or break the look of a car, Nice Motor and I'm sure your wife loves it, however I do agree with others that it needs tweaking, I reckon a little colour on the face of spokes and outer rim would make this motor pop....
but hey - each to their own..

Think that looks awesome and the op's- swmbo's company car (320d coupe) had those wheels and they look the nuts, very nice. I think we need better pics of the ops car though!

Well we / she knows its a marmite look. She loves it and ultimately thats what counts.

Her Subaru was black with anthracite so we didnt want to do that again.

If she does tire of it, then its just a £300 spend to change the colour.

I think it looks nice on black wheels.

I wish BMW could make a car that looks nice from the front as all their cars are hideous from front view but gorgeous from side and rear view! Especially the z4

It probably would but in fairness its quick enough as is. 0-60 in 6.7s, a decent amount of mid range punch and tops out at 146MPH.

The black wheels are really OTT, IMO. The silver ones look much better.

A case of TOO much black I think

Too much black, doesn't look like a sports car any more.
