Water Bottles?

If you want a bottle which has a lockable cap, and doesn't allow leakage even when it's 'open' then this is what you need. My only problem is keeping hold of the damned things, as my wife and both my kids now use them for work/uni/school because they simply don't leak when carried in bags etc.
It means an end to those 'oops' moments when you put your bike in the car, and then find a pool of drink under it because you forgot to take the bottles out of the cages
They are a bit more expensive than 'normal' bottles, but worth it in my opinion. Stick 'em in 'Elite Custom Race' bottle cages and it's job done.

(*) I will add that a better name for it would be "device to throw energy drink all over your arms, extensions and stem if the road is in anyway more lumpy than 2000grit sandpaper" The workaround is clingfilm between the lid and the bottle, but then it makes it a faff to put the other bottle contents into the front bottle halfway through a ride. Couldn't recommend it really, but also can't be arsed to get something different.

I've just got myself a Boardman 700 ml number. All of my other bottles don't fit in the carbon cage I bought last week. I've got a Gatorade bottle which I got from the Skyride lot a few weeks back. It's very good but a bit wide.

I am a man of such good taste that when I realised my original 'patriotic' cages didn't match the bike...

The blue/union flag pair weren't wasted, though, as they are an exact colour match for my son's mountain bike
The CamelBak Podium bottle is such a great fit in the Elite cage - my son has no problems on his MTB with bottles bouncing loose, and I've never had issues with them on the road. They're also dead easy to place the bottle into even when you've got your eyes on the road. Best combination of bottle & cage I've ever used, and the cages are available in colours to match or compliment almost any bike.
And yes, the 'dork disc' did eventually disappear, but the wheel reflectors and bell are still fitted
