I was stuck all Saturday morning in the workshop, pratting around for customers when the Old Dear phoned to say "Meet me at Waitrose". The Doom of Dread suddenly overcame me, "Do I reallllllly have to"?

Anyhoo, yes I turned up, still covered in grease and antifouling paint, having bought a shoulder of lamb and some parsnips, still with the mud on, from the Butchers. I then spent 15 minutes putting all the crap he didn't need back on the shelf out from the trolley.

Supermarket shopping for the week takes 8 minutes. Trust me, I've been doing it all over the world for over 30 years. Yes, got through it, but fancied something to drink.

I really don't like Pop or fizzy drinks but grabbed a can of Sanpellegrino Limon.

FECK. All the tastes of a summer holiday in a mouthful. Tartness and sweet with a big punch of POWW.

Lovely. I cannot recommend a product more and it's half the price of a Coke.

They also do a blood orange flavour. I'd much rather buy that instead of Coke or other soft drink

Lovely stuff. I tend to buy lots when it's on offer at £3 per 6 cans.

The Chinotto is pretty awesome too. Difficult to get hold of in the UK though, unless you shop online.

Lovely stuff - but it's sure as hell not half the price of coke - more like twice the price in most places!

Did the shop in Sainsburys yesterday - 12 pack of coke was £4:53. 6 cans of San Pellegrino was £4 so almost twice as much.

I wish the other flavours were more widely available. Mandarin, for instance.

There was an adult soft drink thread in here a few years back and SP Limonata won handsomely smile

As with most things, Costco are great for bulk buying this.

Too sweet for my liking, but mixed about 50/50 with ice cold water makes it lovely and refreshing!

Really nice apart from the amount of sugar in them. Maybe a diet version would be superb.
