Battery in my 98 Chim was flat yesterday, so charged it. Seems to have worked as alarm lights on, and doors are locked as opposed to "dead".

Neither fob will open the doors. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you need to reset the immobiliser/alarm, that often happens after the battery has gone flat.

Take the +ive terminal off the battery, wait 10 - 15 seconds and then as you re-attach press the key fob and that should reset the unit. IIRC it beeps a few times at you as it resets.

Please keep up. How do you think I put the charger on with the doors "dead".

Took roof off, and charged it via the battery.
