Nurburgring trackday insurance

I think I've covered most of the available insurers who offer this - any other recommendations? 1 day track day (not TF) needed for Nordschleife.

So far I've got quotes from Moris, MSI, CCI and REIS. Tried Mannings and Henderson Taylor but they do not offer single event insurance. Moris are the best priced so far and probably the one I will go with but it's still pricey!

Can't you cancel your current policy and get a refund and then go with a new annual policy with Mannigs where it is included (unlimited trackdays in UK, Europe and non- TF 'Ring) in their regular policy?

Footnote - Mannings only cover ATDO and a couple of other track day organisers, so if it is Destination Nurburgring or the Circuit Days event you are fine (they are the only UK companies that have days there this year as things stand), but if one of the many continental track day organisers at the 'ring you may not be covered by that.

As a general thing - the break even for one-off vs a policy with track days included is usually either the second or third event for Porsche drivers on the specialist policies, so if it is only the single event they one off cover may be appropriate but otherwise cancelling current cover and reinsuring might be a better option as suggested above.

Got quote £750 for a stand alone policy for one days TD back in 2010. I'm now with Manning.

ahh, that's interesting, I didn't realise Mannings trackdays included the 'ring. I think their insurance quote for me was quite a bit higher - although probably not as much as the insurance I did take in the end plus the extra cost of cover for this track day!

Probably doesn't makes sense to cancel my current insurance now but will have a quick check
