991 Turbo the ultimate family car !

We’ve been out having some serious fun today in our new ‘Family Car’.
When I joined this forum I had a £10k 11 year old 2.5 986 Boxster which I loved and it made me smile every time I pulled back the curtains in the morning. If I’m honest at the time my dream Porsche was the 997 GT3 and so I choose the name ‘TryHarder’ because thats what I was going to need to do if I stood any chance of achieving my ambition. Well I tried harder and with a lot of luck and with slightly more good decisions than bad along the way I have lived up to the name, not quite the GT3 in the end but I think I can still tick that item off the bucket list !
I’ve read all the posts about 991T depreciation etc. And yep I agree it probably will never be worth what I paid for it again, but what the hell. You know life is short and I take the attitude if you can you should so I did, and I’m very, very pleased with that decision, this thing is awesome, simply awesome. Enjoy the pictures and have a safe week ahead until the fun starts once more at 5.30pm Friday !

As for the roof, yep when its not raining is right I drove it home last night with the roof down its the only way to go, you sit down inside and with the side windows up and the wind deflector deployed, heated seats on, and heating set to 24 degrees its great in fact I had to turn the temperature down. I know the coupe is the purists choice but the 991 Cab is very enjoyable to drive roof down very refined and its absolutely the only way to enjoy the car In Sport + oh the noise, it makes a unique sound, you get a roar and a whoosh from the turbos and then lift off and its a sound like an A10 jet firing its gatling gun and its just not the same in the coupe with just the windows down, but hey he to his own the choice is there !
I know I'm in my honeymoon period with this car but, oh my God it is epic !
