are these tyre pressure transponders?

Anyone know what these are? Are they tyre pressure gadgets? took my Mazda CX7 to local tyre fitters to have my winter tyres changed back to summer tyres (didn't feckin snow once up here - total waste of time!) and noticed this morning that the tyre pressure warning light is on and won't go off - tyre pressures are fine - no flats. When I removed my winter tyres from the boot 2 of these wee 'transponders' fell out of the tyres - they clearly show signs of having 'snapped off' something and the garage have obviously then placed these inside my winter tyres when giving me everything back. What do you reckon? do my summer tyres need to come off and these put back in? Has my local tyre fitter butchered the job? - cheers guys - any help greatly appreciated
Yep. I suspect that should be attached to the top of the valve (or possibly bolted to the inside of the rim somewhere, not sure how Mazda do it).
ETA: I think (not sure) that the pressure light being on is an MoT failure these days, too. Quite a lot of the warning lights are.

arghhh dammit! I thought as much! - I'm gonna have to go back now and ask them to fix it and I know they will just tell me to fk off. I knew I shouldn't have used a local scrappy to change my bloody tyres!!! (although they do have a big sign out front saying tyres fitted here) aww fer fks sake!! - cheers anyway guys - at least I know what they are now!
