So, i have a dilemma. I have a V10 M5, it's an individual order car and has every extra and it in great condition.

At the weekend i've kind of reserved an RS6 V10. It's a lovely car but i have a niggling doubt it's not going to be as much fun as the M5.

Has anyone switched from one to the other and if so what are the experiences of the RS6? I think the RS has the M5 on straight line above 100% but i doubt i'd be able to have a giggle in it exiting a roundabout or on a nice cross country drive?

Help! The M5 owes me nothing and i'm guessing that good ones like mine are not going to love much money whereas the RS6's i think will keep dropping? Would i be spending a load of money for no extra fun and no real world gains?

Come rain or snow there is very little that can match the RS6.

However it sounds dull compared to the V10 howl of the M5

I saw an RS6 V10 for sale recently and then saw the weight of it, if memory serves pretty bulky compared with the M5.

Personally I'd keep the beemer, I gather it probably handles better provided conditions are good.

The RS6 from my experience will be better in the wet in a straight line and in corners when pushed, the V10 M5 better all else.
Under steer in the RS6 is chronic , your choice.
What is the History/Miles on the RS6?.

Plenty of tuning options for the RS with a few close to 800 poniessmile

Very little for the E60 M5 so perhaps that's an option as those tuned C6 RS6's are insane & bulletproof.

My RS6 had around 700bhp awesome car. My F10 M5 was standard but very near as fast but given the UK weather the RS was way faster 80% of the time.

Both now sold but deffo enjoyed the RS better. As said above understeer is an issue but it can be driven accordingly

Vary fast cars. I would say the RS is more stable and more sure footed at speed.

I've had a rethink! M5 Touring it is!
Any advise on these other than the usual on the buyers guide? Do they drive as well as the saloon?
Thanks

Yes, they do... They are even worse on fuel though due to the shape of the wagon. And could feel a little bit heavier than the Sedans - most Tourings came fully loaded, including the panoramic roof, soft close doors, full leather etc. Epic cars - may be slower than the RS6, but overal it still the best fast estate ever made... Still miss mine...

Or errr.. Just email me via the ad. Duh.

Range is no different - tank is the same size. Cheburator had an identical one to mine - they don't drive any differently to the saloon.

I have an m5 estate. I've had it for 3 months. Every time I drive the car, which is usually around twice per week, I am in a very happy mood when I get back home. An absolutely awesome car. But every other time I drive the car, I have to refuel it.

Naturally aspirated V10... No brainer..
