Santa Pod - RWYB

I am thinking of going to Santa Pod for a run down the 1/4 mile on a Run What Ya Brung day. What are the days like? Is there much else to do other than run down the strip?

We are trying to work out if my Mrs would like to come along with her mate, but aren't too sure if a) we can get somebody to look after our little man (who would love to watch!) or b) if there is much else to do off the track

I have organised a few club events that were based at Santa Pod RWYB days and they were a great success. HOWEVER there is nothing else to do there and if the weather is crap then there is absolutely nothing to do.

We went on quiet days early in the year and were lucky with the weather, we got loads of runs and I had lots of trophies for the track and show and shine so there was stuff for people to do (voting) and most people at least knew a few others there.

It is a pretty bleak and desolate place unless the sun is out, you might be better off going to one of the shows there where they use the track too, that way at least there is stuff for you and the misses to do.

Thanks for that, it did cross my mind that it could be quiet. The other option is to go without the Mrs!

Things to do at the pod,.. Get blown about by the wind, eat a greasy burger, and if your lucky see some fast cars. For my money it's a pity the shed behind the starting area dissapeared, as you could watch the cars dissapear straight down the strip away from you.
