Hello, I have had my 2002 XKR 4.0 is storage for a couple of months and somehow the trickle charger has given up. Battery completely dead. Have bought/installed a new battery but the car now shows every possible fault code, the dails do not work but the engine starts and runs OK. What might be wrong and what can i do to rectify? Cheers. Eric.

100% battery terminals are fitted and tight?

No wires left off?

The onboard computer needs rebooting i'm afraid. You need to get Jaguar Roadside or your Dealer to do it. I had the same problem when my battery went flat.

Thanks Geoff. Any idea how I can do this myself?

You can't as far as i know. The guy turned up, plugged in his laptop and 5 mins later all was good in the world. I do know that the batteries just don't last when the car isn't driven. My XKRS has had 2 new batteries in 2 years and it was brand new. My XKRS just shuts down if not driven for a week. Make sure everything you can is actually turned off when not using it. Such as radio, auto lights etc. The new batteries in the 2014 models are much bigger than those even in the 2012 models.
