I have contacted the seller during my search, he did say the car needs a full respray, the paint has microblistered.

Track day sump and LSD is critical apparently, GTO3's can have these but not all do. Not all 3R's have the TDS either!

No doubt someone more knowledgeable than me will clarify any other must haves for track work.

Any Noble can be used on track, M12 GTO, 3, 3R or M400.

It is important they've had the right upgrades though, it should have a track day sump, a Limited slip diff, the fuel pump and wiring upgrade, then oil filled to the max and fresh brake fluid.

Anything else is is a boost;

Intercooler
Upgraded pads
Grooved discs/2-piece Alcon discs
Hard pipes
Exhaust
Remap
The list goes on,

Best of luck with the search

Graham

I'm sure there was a thread on here some time ago about that bloke trying to punt out a dodgy noble,

The other advert on autotrader is hysterical, now a five speed gearbox and catD are selling points.

+1 for the LSD, I busted mine and am looking at 3k to source and fit a LSD at the specialists.

Just a heads up, you will need new brake pads for track too. The stock ones are made of a mild form of goats cheese and have similar stopping power when warm.

from Juno's pic its a 5 speed so check it has an LSD otherwise that will fail on track.... not many 3Rs had 5 speed boxes so worth checking its a genuine 3r

If you're looking to do lots of trackdays why do you want a low mileage one? I don't know of any Nobles extensively used on track that haven't had virtually everything replaced/uprated/modified anyway so you'll just be wasting money looking for a tidy, clean one IMHO.

I've only just seen this thread and have just tried the search function. Can somebody point me to the thread about "that bloke trying to punt out a dodgy Noble"? Cheers.
