Well as you know said goodbye to the GT3 last week for reasons explained.
Picked up a 996 Turbo today..........I know my third one, but i just think they're epic for the money.
I Originally set out to go back classic and had paid good money for an unseen 89 3.2c in slate, enough said there, swiftly refunded.
Anyway back on topic picked up a DMS tuned 550+ BHP turbo today with a slush box.
Scared myself bloody s
tless in it on the way home so glad for the tiptronic box so i could keep both hands on the wheel, okay the motorway was slightly damp and lets say i was pushing along nicely and as you do i decided to light the burners even more, boosting well over 1 bar due to the DMS treatment................!! twitchy rear end at that sort of speed and twitchy backside on the drivers seat, fastest Porsche i've owned by a long way, seriously incredible!
I actually like the Tip box too works very well and compliments the serious power delivery at all speeds.
The car has been set up nicely and is a bit of a GT2 replica all genuine bits i hasten to add, but looks lovely in the flesh for a bitzer car.
£1000's have been spent on the car at DMS in Southampton, really sorted performance wise and averaged 26MPG on the way home, so yeah pleased with the purchase & not too precious about ragging and abusing it TBH.
Another bonus is the sound, yes for a 6T it sounds lovely (DMS branded pipes which i believe are Milltek)
Anyway will no doubt update when i've had it in the dry.

Yes it was mate, i'd put a deposit on it but my GT3 sale fell through originally.....Oh yeah, the Tip box is awesome on a 996 Turbo.
Mental is an understatement DMS reckon 200mph easily not that i will be trying that!
The power is just relentless.

tty roads we have. The other fundamental fact is i wouldn't have dared driving the GT2 like i did this today in the s
