Quite a few customers of mine are asking to make credit/debit card payments (over the phone mostly but some in person). I don't have these facilities so just wondering what do I need to get this set up, fees, who to avoid, who to use etc.

I have just gone with worldpay zinc, after a similar situation, altho mainly it was customers in the office. Since setting mine up under a month ago i have taken just shy of £1700 via card, to do over the phone payment you log into your account via computer and the option is there. also another is the option to email the customer a link and pay online so you dont have to deal with details over the phone.

On a pay as you go its 2.75% per transation, for £6 (i think) per month it drops to 1.95% or for £12.99 a month its free per transaction. Taking anything above £500 per month and the £12.99 month will be the cheapest option.

I'm just about to sign up to Worldpay if anyone can refer me and wants the voucher that's currently on offer?

Shotgun biggrin

What info do you need? What does the voucher get you?

I'd avoid them if I were you. They pulled me up for fraud (nothing fraudulent happened) and they wouldn't release nearly £3000 for a few months. For no reason at all.

I think we've been with them for a few years and had no issues, we just renewed and they were the cheapest option for our volume of sales.

I just need to take one (rather large) card payment so hopefully they'll suffice!

I'm assuming within your account you can refer someone? You'll probably need my email address which I'll PM you now.

£100 Amazon vouchers if I'm reading it correctly. Don't feel that you have to split them though.

Honestly.

If you're starting small, then Streamline do a very good rate for members of the FSB.
Nice and straightforward, which counts for a lot these days.

worldpray are rubbish - we now use stripe - the best eCommerce user interface bar none, easy to set up in about 5 mins - brilliant customer service too.

just IMHO!
