The aluminium 'A' section on the drivers door of my Chimaera is not completely flush with windscreen when the door is closed and causes wind noise (it's angled out slightly). It seems flexible enough to bend in, but I don't want to force it. Can the door be re-hung, and would this work?

Are you happy with the panel fit of the door? If not, get this sorted out first - there are some shims where the door hinge is bolted to the car body, which can be removed to make the door fit closer to the body. This will also affect the fit of the aluminium window frame.

If you take a shim out at the top then the bottom of the door may sit proud of the sill a little. Mine was like this (out by about 25mm) and I added a shim to bring the door in at the bottom (must confess the new shim was much thicker than the old so taking the existing one out may not make too much difference - to your sill or the wind noise).
If you do decide to take the shim out then you only have to slacken the door bolts and then the shim slides out (the bolts do not run through holes in the shim). Worth knowing this because then you don't risk the door falling away should you lose your grip!
You can change the angle of the door by undoing the same bolts that hold the shim and lowering the door striker (or whatever it's called). The effect would be to raise the door at the hood end and close any gap at the apex of the A frame. Check first that it is not already too high or I suppose it will look daft. Don't go too far other wise the A frame will start to rub on the seal.
PS. You will probably need to close the door ready for tightening up the bolts to make sure that the door is aligned properly. If you're skinny then you'll be fine sitting upsidedown in the seat, head around the pedals and hands reaching towards the top of the door. IF you're on the large side....forget it!
