Yep you can hit 145mph in a supercharged Atom - big issue with Bedford first time out is that it's flat with not many features and so can be quite difficult to learn - weather like today would do very nicely - rain and Atoms doesn't go well together
Hopefully the weather mimics today - it's gorgeous. I've followed a couple of Atoms around Bedford & they are impressive. I can understand your apprehension regarding wet conditions. Have you considered tuition? Otherwise, I'd be happy to give you a few pointers. Kyri
Saveloy - it's probably my 5th time at Bedford. I love the run off areas, and the size of the track ensures minimal traffic.
My last track day was at brands and a combination of horrid downpour and oil on the track made it a bit of a non event. Even though we travel with wets/drys I prefer the federal 595 rsr tyres.

Was a fun day. I got distracted this morning by that robot lawn mower up on the ridge. Then by one of the photographer's standing on the chicane!
No incidents today, but I did spin off into the grass before the back straight. And was held up by ****s on 3 occasions.
Had one of the instructors out with me late in the day & he gave me a couple of pointers I had not considered. So that added a bit more speed & stability to my collar.
Everyone have a good day?

Surprisingly quiet day yesterday - was expecting T&T to have booked a lot more cars - stayed dry and there was plenty of grip but pretty cold and grey - seemed to be incident free aside from one of our Atoms spinning I front of the pits early in the day
Which Atom were you in?Kyri
Had a great day! Can't believe how big the track is! Took all day to get my bearings, found it tricky to "learn" as its flat with no real visual reference points. Didn't appreciate how "fast" a track it is as well, look forward to returning again some time in the not to distant future. Currently sifting through some of the on board footage I took.

Flying Trotter,
Glad it wasn't you in the Orange Atom, driven by a guy in blue overalls. I wanted to thump him once I got back to the pits.
Toilet Duck,
I'm glad you enjoyed it. It is a fast track and I haven't tired of it yet. Tell me you weren't in blue overalls.
Kyri
Negative on the blue overalls, although I was in an orange Atom so one out of two Glad it wasn't you in the Orange Atom, driven by a guy in blue overalls. I wanted to thump him once I got back to the pits.
