Core plugs, how many S2 2.9i
Discussion
Hi all, how many core plugs does a 2.9 have. One popped out last winter so I need to do that, but will change all of them, I'm thinking 6.
Anyone know for fact.
Also I've seen on here that you don't have to separate the engine/gearbox if you raise the car high enough, anyone know how high, and yes I've got the special bit of chassis that unbolts between the two (smiley)
Many thanks.

I've just searched eBay for Cologne V6 core plugs, & there are 12 in a set.
I dunno if all of them are used ( unlikely i would think ), or if they are just to cover all variants & engine capacities.
No idea about replacing in situ, I prefer to keep the cooling system well topped up with good antifreeze.

It's got to be right out to do backs of heads and behind flywheel, others may be accessible with exhaust manifolds off?
The problem will be getting a bit of room to "tap" the new ones in, think I read somewhere of some one pressing a new one in using a small jack against the chassis (might not have been a V6, might not have been as S, might not have been a TVR?)
