New Exhaust Cover - Finally Finished
Discussion
I had a chap at work make me a digital design file from the original parts measurements. Then I had a local company lazer cut it for me from Stainless steel instead of aluminium. I then had the heat coating applied from another source.
I have had a few people ask about it now. It is not cheap, this one cost me well over a £1000 but I have mentioned that if there was enough interest then I may think about doing a run of say x10 pieces or more and get the price down to the region of £450 ish. Still not that cheap though!

Lovely job, but how much? I have had a few people ask about it now. Yeah, I realise that it cost a lot, but I'm including all the prototypes I had done. And it wasn't exactly all in one hit that was all spread over four or five months. Regarding the colour, I wanted it treated with a particular coating that only comes in 3 finishes and the Graphite was better than the black offering because of my Anthracite wheels and two tone grey interior. Plus colours and specs are always going to be subjective.
I'm sure that if I made some changes to spec and went with a 'volume' run it could be done cheaper. As I said I think in Aluminium and a powder coated finish it would be much cheaper.
Thanks for the positive comments though.
