hi guys, ordered my Johnny Z replacement u bend hose that should be arriving tomorrow, can anyone please shed any light on the best way to drain the pas fluid from the reservoir in order to fit this hose. I haven't bought the complete kit, just the one pictured that runs from reservoir to pump with the u bend etc.
Is this simply a case of removing fluid, fitting new hose then topping up and steering lock to lock to bleed? Any help / advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks.

Pretty much a case of undoing the hose from the rack and releasing the fluid into a container, once all the fluid is drained, clean out he fluid reservoir for any debris.

You will be lucky if you don't have to remove the pump from the car to undo the nut, whatever you do, don't round it off

What nut do you mean? it's the hose in the picture (on the right) I have to fit, thought it was just a jubilee at each end?

Get the res empty then do the U at the pump get plenty of rags ready

Then nip the new U up with some ptfe tape
You may nead to trim the hose abit garden shears were the best thing I found
Get some t bolt clamps aswel to replace the hose clips

Just re-read your post, if your not replacing the hose from the pump to the rack then you have no issues

I noticed the res is only held to car by a large jubilee, can you just release that and turn it on its side to pour out the fluid into a container, is there enough movement in it?
