Can you add 3rd year warranty later?

Quick question - if you buy a new car you get 2 years Porsche warranty - then 3rd year is dealer option.
Is it possible to buy this 3rd year at the end of year 2?
Would it need the 111 point check or would they just add it on?

As far as I'm aware you can add the warranty on at a later date but you would need to pay for the 111 point check,plus I think the warranty is more expensive when purchased on a stand alone basis, than if you add it to the price of the car upfront.

I thought that 3rd year was part of their mandatory on-the-road 'option' - ie you get to pay for it?

The 3rd year is optional.

There is no such thing as a free warranty. Its in the price.
