My 206 GTi 138
Discussion
Just thought I'd share a few pictures of my 206 GTi from when I first bought her to how she stands now. Been trying to go for a subtle OEM look, thats a bit different and not to in your face but still stands out. I know it's not going to be to everyone's taste being a french hatch. But she's my pride and joy and I just love driving it.
Here's when I first bought her...

Yes I know what the hell are those back lights, they were off within 5 minutes of getting the car home as I had a pair of standard rears in the garage.
Summer last year..

And how she stands as of yesterday...

Got a lot of plans & ideas as to what I want to do next to her.
ETA: My bad, flickr's changed a bit since I last used it for this. Pictures now linked properly.

Had one of these when they first came out as a commuter. Despite the contemporary reviews that were not good, it was well spec'd and was pretty decent fun to drive. It was appallingly unreliable though with no end of issues.
Had some memorable drives in it though, when it was working.

Hi Lee! (formerly GTiFrank)
Glad you're still hooning around in this. I got rid of mine in November last year after 3.5 years. The Clio is a lot harder to work on!
Totally underated cars for anyone thinking of taking a punt. Very reliable, easy to work on. Reliativley simple. Only bad thing is the seats for journeys longer than 90mins. My old man bought mine off me and is loving it!

Looks similar to mine (unmodded). Only had it a couple of months and go to say it's growing on me but feel they should have been badged up as GTs or such like as don't feel particularly "sporty". Been utterly reliable so far though.
Not recommended for those with big feet though as seating/pedal positioning is pretty terrible - as the owner of wide size 12s I have to drive with VERY slim shoes or preferably in bare feet!
Like the white wheels on yours

Was the sp kit the bodykit that made it long enough for wrc homologation purposes.

SP kit was just an optional extra comprising of grill, arches and badges iirc.
Are you thinking of the Gran Tourisme special edition?

I think I am. It had a huge chin.
Yep, the GT was the one with the huge chin bumpers. 4000 made worldwide all in silver. around 600 came to the UK. Basically a standard GTi 137 but with the huge bumpers to take the length of the car from the standard 3.7m to just over 4 IIRC to meet the homologation requirements. The SP kit was mainly a dealer fit accessory pack, although some feature I think did get installed at the factory. But the whole kit consisted of the mesh grills on the bonnet, next to the peugeot badge and the one in the front bumper. The extended arches on the wings. The spoiler, aluminium fuel cap, gear knob, pedals, glove box handle & button on the handbrake lever.
Lowering is on the agenda for mine, Decided on the Eibach Pro-Kit Springs (only a 25-30mm drop not going silly unpractical low) Just need to decide which dampers im going for Bilstein B4 B6 or B8? Really need to do the timing belt on it soon just due to age, but thinking whilst I've got it all stripped down anyway why not throw a set of cams in as well. Currently looking at the CatCams Fast road cams ( http://www.catcams.co.uk/acatalog/Fast-Road-Profil... ) Seems a decent gain on just the cams and map alone without any of the extra mod's I'm thinking about. Also what I like about these is the way the torque and power curve are on the map is very very similar to the original, it's as though they took the original print out and just pushed the whole curve up slightly.
