Hi all,

I have been reading quite a bit about R400 K series caterhams, and I have found one in SV guise to look at with a view to buying it.

Do all the R400s have dry sumps or was this an option? Also, is there a site with info about the 400 and things to look for when purchasing ?

Thanks

I owned an R400 K Series, that I built as a kit from new.

There is. An excellent guide here from the guys at Evo

http://www.evo.co.uk/buying/buyingguide/218871/cat...

The r400 here is actually my old car, it is now owned by Mark who has done many thousands of trouble free miles in it.

Let me know if you need any more info.

I have just sold my R400 after 10 years of ownership .

All the genuine R400 were dry sumped , there seem to be a few R400 wannabies in the classifieds with varying spec ..
Mine had 440 in the first part of the chassis number which I think denotes the model .
