Some years logo my 350i went up north to a tvr garage with a cracked block and other issues . She was fitted with a 3.9nck engine which ran OK at times but never seemed right .
Then moving to Lincolnshire and 20 miles from v8d rob retuned it a few times but issues kept returning.
Four years ago the outriggers where shot and it was running like abag of nails so of it went up north again after many weeks of trying to sort it out t was decided the best option was to fit a carb cutting a long story short after 105 miles the oil pressure disappeared by this time divorce was on the cards I put the car in the garage and and couldn't look at it for awhile .
Owing to some health issues two years past she sat there then I offered here to nice chap on here(he knows who I mean) but found I could not part with here , another eighteen months have past But tomorrow she returns from v8d with the engine fuly rebuilt by rob gas flowed heads and nice cam she passed mot today so well chuffed just fuel and temp gauges to sort out .
Now for the interesting bit on stripping the engine ray rings to say he seen nothing like it before
One head fully ported double valve springs the other bog standard rover
Also a good selection of broken rings.
I am really glad the person above did not buy the car as I would have lost sleep.
Any way I'm can't wait to get back on the road and hear that noise again
