Hi. Can anyone advise a source of rad hose that can be formed to follow a shape? I've seen some stainless ones on U.S websites but not here? I need it as bottom hose on a race car where exit from engine unfortunately runs right into path of gear linkage, ( gsxr engine with rod from lever to engine ), therefore need to bend a hose up and over in a goose neck type of shape. To tight really to use elbows etc.

Any thoughts welcome, Cheers

You can use spiral bound silicone hose, but it won't retain it's shape unaided. It depends on what diameter you want, but what about welding SS elbows together?

If you can make a pattern then a silicone hose company can make you a hose to that shape.
I would suggest getting some foam central heating pipe insulation with a piece of copper pipe inside it and bend it to the chape you require.

Needs to retain its shape unfortunately. I've had a piece made to suit but the part is with a bloke whos effin about so no guarantee it will be back in time for first meeting therefore just thought I'd sus out flexi pipe options as a back up.

Cheers

I used spiral rubber hose for the bottom hose on my Rush for similar reasons. It is springy though so you need to clamp it somehow to keep it in the shape you want.

But it doesn't retain it's shape, which has been mentioned several times.

A picture to show the problem would be very useful.
