Well after signing the petition for requesting the re-introduction of tax exemption for classic cars it seems that we may of made a difference...Hoorah...

This was the email i received this morning.

Well, in case you've missed it this years budget announced the change.
Albeit for cars over 40yrs, but hey ho.

Thanks to all who supported this petition, maybe George did get fed up of receiving over 11000 emails on the subject...

Cheers, here's hoping you motor gets covered soon under this change.

Thanks again,
Jonathan

Even if they changed it to 30 years it would be better, but 40 yrs is better than never.

When they had this running last time was it 25 years - or 30 years? It was supposed to roll then but then they fixed it.

My betting is that they will let it roll for a bit then the next government will fix it again.

Can't see why they can't do a yearly mileage on classics, seems only fair, I've done 250 miles in the last year!

It was set at 25 years but only rolled for a couple of years before the bds fixed it.
My money would be on the same happening again but then I am an old cynic.
