icon swapped places in toolbar

For no apparent reason...apart from the comp felt the need to do it...

my e icon for internet explorer decided to shift it's position on the toolbar to be first in line.
It now replaces the shortcut to ntlworld icon.
Windows media player seems to have decided it wants to be a part of the toolbar gang as well.

What I want to do..is to remove the interloper (Windows media player) ...put the e back to where it was - but how do I go about it?
and why does my comp decide to do things off it's own bat?

You can drag and drop the icons around. (In a similar way you would do with the icons on your start menu

I didn't do the moving to the handy toolbar in the first place...but got someone computer savvy to do it for me

Haven't a clue how to shift icons around....but was just as interested in why my comp decided to do things off it's own bat without me saying a yah or nay as to what it got up to
