I will be (hopefully) picking up a 3.73 Hydratrack diff when at the Burghley meeting, to replace my standard non-Hydratrack 3.43 diff.

I was looking through some old threads earlier, and read one where it stated (to my horror) that the bolt positions on the standard diff/propshaft are not the same as the Hydratrack diff and propshaft.

Can anyone confirm if this is the case, and if it is, does it mean I would need another propshaft.

Now, the poster in the thread (have lost it now..) said that he wasn't sure if this was the case, so I am just seeking to confirm if they share the same bolt/hole positions or not.

Cheers smile

IMHO the bolt pattern depends on the age of the diff, not on the type.
The later ones have a flange for six bolts. TVR made an adaptor plate to the 4 bolt prop shaft flange.
(The adaptor: http://www.tvrpower.co.uk/store/slug/prop-adapt/)
As far as i know use of the adaptor requires a shorter prop shaft.

Thank you for the replies. I plan have the diff fitted and CR gears gone by Gearboxman (although that's not set in stone) - or would it be better for Power to do it, so if there's any compatability problems, they are more suited to overcome them?

Yes agree,

Propshaft IS shorter on the sag and very late T350's with later diff.

The front diff casing mount is different too; 4 bolt early, 3 bolt late, so the mount brackets differ too.

Heres is a later diff casing with a 4 bolt prop input fitted and a 6 bolt shown beside with the 6/4 bolt adaptor

Phew!

Thank you very much for confirmation.

I guess I should have posted the pics with my original post...
