I think you guys are really going to like this. It's a mini-documentary showing a bunch of pictures of abandoned car wash & detail shops in the city of Detroit. I'll bet you've never seen anything quite like this:

I don't understand what you don't understand.

There are lots of pics of closed down hand car washes in the Detroit area. Look at the pictures. There's not much to understand, some people like this kind of thing.

Hmm... Lots of hand car wash places that now can't make money, obviously due to the economic situation in Detroit but also assumedly due to the fact they're absolutely everywhere..... Sound familiar?

This stuff is normally found on Instagram, a youngster told me it was "Urbex Grime" which I think means photo's of abandoned places.

The problem for any business in Detroit is that the city is dying on its feet.

So many people are moving out of the city to the suburbs that there just ain't the people out there anymore to make a business work.

The whole place is in one hell of a mess. Google Earth the place and you see streets upon streets with no houses no longer standing, whole inner suburbs abandoned

The local Iraqi car wash place seems to be missing a trick. I wonder how much better off they would be if they also offered sandwiches and hair braiding at their facilities.

Actually, it's quite the very opposite. There's a huge rebirth going on in several areas of Detroit. Including the direct Downtown area. I really think the bottom has passed and things are only getting better. Small and large companies are planting locations there.
