I'm heading to Lisbon in June with Mrs S47 for our 2nd wedding anniversary.

Does anyone know of any nice cafes or restuarants that are good for lunch?

I've booked the two dinner reservations already - A Travessa and Belcanto (having cancelled at Restaurant Eleven due to their appauling recent T.A reviews) so that is covered. We're there for two days.

Any hidden gems or must eat places?

This place is truly excellent. I can heartily recommend drinking port with some of those tarts: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g1891...

We headed down to the old town a lot and didn't go far wrong. But then again, salted cod and potatoes isn't hard to get right wink

In most restaurants they often provide a basket of bread/butter/tins of fish. They'll charge you for what you eat.

Thought i'd bump this thread as we're also going in June for a few days and I was going to ask on here for any recommendations of things to do, places to eat and must sees!

The custard tart place looks like a great stop for an afternoon of wandering around. I'll be taking a look at it.

We're pleased with the restaurant bookings but there doesn't seem to be any definitive must see lunch stops. The DK 'Top 10' Lisbon has been extremely helpful though.
