Late 80's V8 with reg plate "V8"

Saw this a couple of weeks ago in Oxshott, Surrey.
Anyone know who's this is, and how much the "V8" plate would be worth? Got to be up there with the highest value ones like "F1", I reckon.

I have seen the car near Bushey Park. It looks stunning, no idea who it belongs to or how much the plate is worth.
