Thing is this isn't just Russia its all over, it's just because aren't dash cams compulsory over there and it's a big place so bound to see lots of accidents.

Are people completely incapable of estimating speed? So many of those accidents are people trying to "beat" someone across a junction/turning and could easily be avoided.

Its not just Russia, I work in Baku and its just the same.
My arse is going 5p-50p anytime I'm in a vehicle over here.
I have seen a Lada parked very neatly on its side right in front of the revolving door of a Park Inn hotel.
After managing to get up around a dozen steps.

They are mental drivers, the first time I ever was in a car here was just about the last. A bus ran a red light at a crossroads, and missed the front of the car I was travelling in by a ballhair.
Not only are they daft, they are st. No attempt to drive smoothly whatsoever, revving all the time for no reason, no clutch control etc. I always feel like crap after I have been driven anywhere.

I think half of them must be blind.
On another note my Russian friend is proud of the fact that she actually passed a driving test.
The rest of the family just paid a bribe to get a licence with no lessons, test or anything which is fairly normal.
