Leven hood cover operation??

If it the garage hood which they are doing on special offer, its sort of easy!
I called in in person on Wednesday to buy one (and to enquire about a sports exhaust conversion
((I prey the 10th of Decemeber is nice weather!))) When I got it home and tried to put it on there was about 10 minutes of swearing until I thought about it a bit. Its easy once you figure out where the zipped door openings are, then you know its the right way around!. Good tip - the attached bag for the cover is at the centre of the back of the car.

Corin, I found the first time was quite difficult, only because you are following step by step instructions, but now I can fit it in about 2 minutes.
Make sure there is no dirt between cover and bodywork and apply some extra polish to the areas where the cover will interface with the paintwork.

Pretty easy. Pop the bonnet and boot. Big flap slides underneath the top edge of the boot and drapes into the boot, small asymetric flap slides under the bonnet. Close bonnet and boot. Job done.

As with everything you will probably develop your own technique but for what it's worth.
1. Pop bonnet and boot catch (leaving shut)
2. Put cover roof and line up as best you can
3. Open boot and pull flap through (worth noting a reference point in the boot for how far to pull the flap). But don't shut boot in case you need to make fine adjustments.
4. Lift bonnet with left hand and slip flap under, easiest done from passenger side.
5. Check alighment and fix and tighten straps under wing mirror.
6. If all OK push boot and bonnet shut and leave your P&J safe and dry.
Sounds a bit long winded only takes a minute with a little practice.
Some git actually stole mine a couple of months ago (fortunately I have a garage now). Slipped out the front flap, took off the wing mirror straps, but the boot flap will not realease unless boot is opended so they tore across the seem leaving just the boot flap behind.
Must have been tugging really hard, just lucky that nothing was damaged in any way. Not heard of this ever happening before.
