Would a quality performance exhaust put you off buying a car

As above really, I've got a 2010 Seat Leon Cupra in kiwi lime green that I love to pieces. It's only done 23,000 miles and has full service history. It has also been remapped to around 320bhp so goes like the clappers as well! Recently, I have been hankering for a milltek exhaust for it. I had one a long time ago on my Fiesta ST and loved the raspy sound. My dilemma is that if I get one is it likely to put people off buying the car when I come to sell? I know if it was me it'd if anything make the car much more appealing. Obviously being Milltek helps as it's a well known manufacturer as opposed to a halfords special
As a buyer, I'd normally draw a line at anything which has had "serious" power upgrades, as that often goes with greater fragility and higher bills to maintain - but you are looking at a much greater increase in power. An exhaust and remap wouldn't bother me in the slightest.
As a seller, I've sold a modified car without any hassle - approx 25ish% increase in power, exhaust, etc. Just sold through a specific forum where I was a member, and didn't bother with the usual sites. I also tried to keep the car at a level where items could be swapped for standard parts if required, which wasn't necessary in the end.

For me it would probably have the opposite effect. I'm actually going to have a look at a Cooper S with a Milltek on Wednesday which is about 50 miles away (further then I'd usually go), simply because it has some choice modifications which are likely to enhance the car. I'm sure as long as you don't try to recuperate the cost of the exhaust when you come to sell the car, you'll have no problems shifting it. Sounds nice anyway, got any pictures of it?
A remap and Miltek with receipts would be a certain bonus for me.
Yes there are plenty on here who will whine about mods and will argue to the end of time that the only cars worth buying are completely standard with a main dealer service history. I don't see it as that clear cut at all.
There are plenty of dealers who have fudged full service histories, adjusted mileages and done god knows what other tricks on their cars that makes me wary of them. Thus I'd be far happier buying privately from someone who I can see takes great care of their car and has modified it using well proven high quality parts.

Personally join the forums and get a used one and fit it then can fit the original exhaust and sell the miltek on (have a good market) afterwards at a minimal loss will be by far the cheapest option.

I'd consider it a bonus, but I wouldn't want to own another modified Seat, or anything that REVO have been near in general tbh. Keep the standard system, put it back on when it's time to sell and flog the Milltek on the owners forum or ebay.
Could you explain why you wouldn't want a REVO mapped car? I have a mk 2 Leon Cupra like the OP an have been contemplating a REVO map. I'd be interested to hear what your experience was and what the car was. Thanks.KungFuPanda said:

This has amused me more than it should.As to the zorst - yes even on a hot hatch it would put me off I'm afraid, though a remap even more so - it speaks of a car that's been ragged senseless. No reason you can't return to stock when selling it though.
