If that's who I think it is, his name is Jim Gamsby, and I knew him before he emigrated to NZ a few years ago. Used to have a business in the UK doing mechanical and bodywork on TVRs. He also owned a blue 420 SEAC with a heavily modified RV8 - reg. was D...OOM IIRC.

Is that Jim Gamsbys original car?

If yes, its the only time I have stopped outside someones house (he lived in Kent in the 80's/early 90's before emigrating) to introduce myself as someone who loves TVR's and one day will own one - and by the way can I drool over your lovely TVR parked on the drive...
